Highlights
- Hermosillo is located 160 miles south from the US-Mexico Border (Nogales Port of Entry). According to Census 2005, population in Hermosillo is almost 734,000.
- Main economic activities are industry, commerce, agriculture and cattle rising,. Manufacturing employment has increase in the last decade due to the increase of high technology manufacturers locating and expanding into Sonora.
- Hermosillo has 15 industrial parks with more than a hundred companies. Some of the major employers are CEMEX, FORD Motor Company, ATM, among others.
- The Tier 1 supplier industrial park for the Ford Plant was recently built. There are spaces available.
