Nogales

Nogales is the main Port of Entry to the United States for Sonora and the western states of Mexico. Nogales is also Arizona’s largest international border town. The population is estimated to be 20,833 (July 2005) and work force is counted to be 9,819 (2004). Across the border from Nogales, AZ is Nogales, Sonora Mexico with a population of more than 250,000 residents.

Nogales offers infrastructure for companies interested in a U.S. location from where they can operate and also access business opportunities in Mexico. Border Crossing infrastructure is improving with the new Free and Secure Trade Program (FAST) operated in the Nogales Mariposa Port of Entry.  Many of the firms expanding into Mexico include production operation in Mexico, while research, managing and distribution operation are being held in a border town like Nogales.

There are five industrial parks totaling 500 acres with utilities and transportation available.
